why not just but say an airity an use it for everythin just fish wit a short 4 if u want it more responsive unless ur loaded that is then buy a pole for each type

Good call Andy about the Airity.

                  I’ve got 6 or 7 short No.3’s which I use onto a match top2 (ie with no.1s about 15inches long).
This makes your kits same length as a top3 without a No.1.
Keep all your top 2’s and the short 3’s in a separate tube and only take if you go onto canals, lakes etc.
Use like this with a long 4, an Airity is awesome for fishing long for silvers.

There you go, one superb pole rather than two average ones… Makes sense.

                      Interesting replies – so far.

thoughts….do you actually need to buy a 16m pole for fishing on your natural venues such as canals?

I would have thought possibly that the best 14.5m pole for your money would be the way to go.

Personally I’m a Daiwa man and would go for the Spectron or airity if I had money to burn.

spectron mk2 if its as good as the spectron comp. was.

Colmic x5000 – very slimm, strong and well balanced with an excellent finish that makes fishing long a doddle…you can buy them at less than 16m if you dont need the reach.

No doubt in my mind Spectron mk2 best silvers pole for canals/ winter on commies.
Although the Airity idea sounds ok .

Got both the Tourney Pro, speccy comp and the M2.

For carp the pro, all round fishing the comp,
“for out and out silvers the M2”.

                                Great piece of kit
