TF_TommoIf I know it’s out and out maggot (no pellet) then I favour the B510 in a 20 for double, and 22 for single.
If I’m going to try a 4mm expander or corn from time to time then I’ll use an 18 Tubertini 808 for everything this time of year.
I know a lot of people favour the trusty B911 in 20’s or 18’s for maggot work, but personally I prefer the crystal bend of the B510. I used to use it a lot on the rivers if chub & roach were expected, and have found it equally as good for small F1’s on carp venues.
Good luck.
Paul
PS – I’m talking about on the pole here

Anonymouscolimic nuclear 501 for me. 808s are great for other baits in winter but i would not use them for maggots. They blunt!

TF_One Out of the FrameWhen I got back into fishing after a break about ten years ago I went through all the en vouge hooks at the time before going back to the B510 and B610’s if there were lumps about.
They are relatively strong for their size, come in proper sizes that equate to what I was used to and more importantly the points don’t blunt when hooking loads of fish and baits.
I do like the B911’s and 808’s for pellet but found the quality suspect of 501’s (points blunting and hooks springing open when I didn’t have problems switching back to B510’s after the ‘Winner’s Purse’ had bolted!).
For very light maggot work the Green Gamma and Preston PR30 were also good.

TF_GavinI like either B911’s or B611’s if I want something a touch lighter. I did use the Colmic WN501’s for a while but like OOotF I found I had more than a reasonable amount of them go blunt quick or seem very soft and open out.
