universal footplate?

        I know there are a load of these on the market but i need a very wide one must be capable of spanning at least 24.5 inches on the standard size square leg system ie like preston square legs size.
        Also i dont want any cheap imported crap that will bend and break after a couple of outings [ I AM A BIG LAD].
        I am considering an octoplus canal footplate but not sure if the standard one will stretch to my required width[ anyone got one they could measure?].
        I know the octoplus gear aint cheap but it is pure quality and probably worth the extra cost [ buy cheap buy twice].
        oh and theres one on e bay for £36 but its an octo leg job i think dohhh.
        By the way if your confused its to fit a korum chair to make pole fishing easier with a bump bar.
        Any other ideas greatly recieved thanks in advance.

          Speak to Brilobox, they will knock you a very sturdy 4 bar one. Just let Peggy know you’re a big lad.

            The Matchbox footplate is a good one. I got the adjustable one and once I’d got it setup for my box I trimmed the surplus off the crossbars, took the thumbscrews, etc. off it and rivetted it into place.

            I think they’re £39.99 on the website and you get a pair of extending legs with them

              Sluicer’s right – I think the Matchbox ones are very solid and when fixed, don’t fold.
              Don’t use them myself anymore as use my platform for nearly all venues and neither do I have a Matchbox but still very good bit of kit.

                Punchcrumb I have both 2 bar and 4 bar octoplus and the maximium width (centre of leg to centre of leg) is 23 inches. Shame as I am going to sell the 4 bar which is the multifit model and usual octoplus quality.
