to be honest matey,, it dont really fish to well, there are bites to be had but it takes a fair old bit of graft to keep em coming,,!
but with almost every fishery in the area unfishable at the moment,,, its aston or nothing and i know what id rather do!
id expect it to get quite busy over the christams break, especially if locals are frozen over,, last years christmas break open saw 48 anglers turn out!!!
im up there later for the weigh in anyway matey so i’ll try and post as much info as possible!!!!!

incidently, have you joined the kivo waters winterleague and hows it fishing?

only been upto kivo waters once since winning the spring league, so not sure how its been fishing ive had a few months of with the weather so tied a few rigs and hooklenghts and now ready to get back on the bank so thinking of making a few at aston!!

that would be great if you can keep me informed on how its fishing and methods and that.

it was on split and stable ponds,
                            dave hooper won it matey,
heard he was on b n j but not doing much, dunno if he changed to pinkies,,
sparky (ian jowwel) sez he was getting bites on pinkies and young axel who works in the cafe came off the b n j line cos he wasnt getting bites,, again he started getting indications on pinkies!!!

been keeping myself busy fishing events on talkangling matey, various venues like lindholme and the likes of,,,started fishing barnburgh lakes recently at mexbrough,, good little fishery,, f1’s galore,,
and at the moment, doing a roving winterleague,
                                  lodgefarm
                                  lindholme
                                  bankend
                                  candy corner
                                  barnburgh,
only 2 matches in and the personal target of finishing in the top 3 has already changed to “DONT FINISH LAST”

leaky come and have a cuppa with my old man, he loves talking fishing and has taught the best. If he cant give you a few pointers its time to give up. He will have you thinking in new ways and wont let you come last, if you do you will give you a clip lol. He will also make you some hand made floats to your design( or his if he thinks your ideas are pants)Pm me and we will sort it.

leaky you say the access is off the a 57 is that near the layby, i was led to understand that planning permission was refused due to it being a clearway, stupid in my opinion.i think it would be far better rather than suffer the cart track past the KJS FISHERIES

thanks for the offer kev, ive been getting info all me life pal it goes in one ear and out the other,,~sick ~sick ~sick
ill be a lot better off once i get lodge farm out the way,,, only fished it twice and to say it aint for me is an understatement,,
the 1st match i cocked up myself so i can deal with that, but the 2nd match i didnt fish to bad by my standards, i was on a supposed good peg,, all ill say is on the day, if that was a good peg, im glad i wasnt on a bad one!!!
early days yet,, got to stay posative
                                        martyn..
your right pal, he was refused it as an access point with out a slip road, which he doesnt have but as far as im aware its one of his many plans,,,
ive always said he must loose a load of custom what with every new visitor to the venue having to drive through kjs 1st!!!!
would be perfect really, but at the moment he only uses it in emergencies!!!
obviously with all this snow its getting used,,,
and he uses it when the usual rd is being skimmed!!
                                        and lastly,, matt..
what you giving it, b n j aint needed???
it was needed last week gary dodsworth won the match with 117 fish for 12lb on it,,,
                                        fair enough,, 2nd was 11lb ,,, 4 fish,,~sick ~sick ~sick ~sick
