  Would have gone if all the commercial lake matches around here had not been cancelled. The local river has been ‘ottered’ and illegal fished out. Didn’t fancy the drive up to the Broads in the hope that I would find the fish feeding in the snow melt. Temperatures have been above freezing all day though so hopefully it will be better next weekend.

  Im pleased for once that my match was called off in mid week. It rained this morning and froze as it hit the ground. Not a chance of driving or even walking until about 12ish. Gave me a chance to do some xmas shopping this afternoon for my 2 girls. Had a great time messing around with all the toys in the shops!

  Fished a club water in Kent for about 3 hours this afternoon between the ice, and don’t think I’ve ever been so cold. Caught loads of good roach up to about a pound or so. Quality fishing…

  deffo going stir-crazy not been out for two weekends now but to be honest I’m not the slightest bit internet whilst the weather is this bad.

  Yes I fished round 3 of the winter league at Rolfs and won my section with 1lb 13oz
  
  Our team won the match overall on a weight countback by a 1oz margin after we had tied on points ~sick

  went to Radley (Thames) today. Started about 8am, second chuck on the bread feeder big whack, reasonable chub, maybe 4lb. Six hours later, still one chub! Never had another sniff!!

  Went to Stoneham lakes me and Clarkie only anglers on the lake. Broke 2 inches of ice and both caught 7-8lbs roach perch and the odd skimmer.Lovely day..

  fished winter league on the k&a today,broke 3inches of ice,got bloody cold,came 3rd in my section,team came 2nd on the day and then won the league,happy days,up the andover,semi finals here we come……..
