Terrible Rob – Cruelty has always hacked me off.

Anybody else find a 4 year ban on keeping a dog odd. Lifetime ban surely?

He’s ate so far- 10kilos go halibut pellet in one night,
The carpet off the stairs, a pair of trainers, the babies wells,
Half of a double quilt, the wooden kitchen table, a concrete step,plaster board,the scatter cushion off the settee and the leather cushions and the contence of the fridge twice….

I would so enjoy battering that piece of 5hit into a quivering mass of raw flesh then taking what’s left of the cu*t swimming down Sharm El Sheikh way,

I know it is a cliche but a Dog really is mans’ best friend. It is beyond me how anybody can mistreat a dog after having a dog from the day I was born.

What a VILE human being, i don’t know how anybody can do such a thing to a dog.

I agree with everything that’s been said.
However isn’t it wonderful that, after all the hard words and controversy that’s gone before, this board can be united by the simple act of a man kicking a dog.

I have had dogs since birth although now that I have reached senior status, I have decided not to replace the current model when the time comes. A shame, but I don’t want to be tied down by a dog in the future.

However there is an awful lot of cruelty in the world, involving other animals, humans even children. Cruelty is cruelty whether it be against a defenceless animal or child or a political prisoner.

Yes, cruelty is a terrible thing. There is no ‘level’ of cruelty, there is either cruelty or there is not.

I do think that we need to be careful on our site when we talk about such matters as there are plenty of people around who consider what we do to be cruel. I happen to disagree with them but largely because I was brought up to fish from a child. If I had not been born into the family I was and had the friends that I did then perhaps my view would be entirely different.

You may remember I spoke about my friend who had just had a similair loss, you may also be interested that my friend too, has a new best friend, Billy. Not a replacement for Jack, but they are both happy.

I have two black labs myself and they are part of the family although they were bought in good faith out of working stock and have never earnt me a penny!

I have already had one complaint for removuing an offensive thread,and this one was brought to my attention too, so can we please calm it down, and let the “Courts” deal with convicting folk, and less of the vigilante attitude?..

I know it’s frustrating Ron,the law has been all wrong for as long as I can remmeber,even when I was in the job,so I not only know how much hard work goes into prepping files for the CPS to send to the courts,only for the offender to get a slap on the wrist,and let free to offend again and again….but the frustration of being let down by the leniency of the sentences set down by them..

But getting verbal on a public forum isn’t going to change a thing,it only makes those who are infuriated by this morons actions look like thugs, which I know a lot of you aren’t,but those who don’t know you might think different..

~clap ~clap ~clap Rob…Your obviously a Lab man,and like most i think they are great companions.We had Boxers in our family from as far back as i can remember,and to this day i cant go by one without giving it a hug,and letting them slobber all over me.They are excellent with children,and like Labs,are very loyal.
By the way,i`ve got to say,the logs by your fire are the neatest cuts i have ever seen…Do you do them?..lol. ~think ~think ~think
