White Acres is diameter 3/8th inch, no minimium length. Not sure about Stafford moor but I’m sure someone will know.

I dont understand these fisheries, what does it matter what size pellet waggler your using?? Some of these fisheries are getting beyond a joke with some of there rulings there going to start pushing there loyal anglers away if they keep bringing out silly rules~naughty rant over.

The rules are in place to stop bolt rigs being used the Stafford limit was brought in after an angler was using a ” float ” 1 1/2 inches in diameter and about the same length ! It means there is some skill needed and that the fishes mouths dont get ripped apart so often. If you look there are not many rules at Stafford and the ones there are are for fish safty.

Probably me being a bit thick, but how does thickness of float cause damage to fish? If i use a carp rod 8lb line through to a size 10 animal barbed, keep winding till the fish is netted but with a thin pellet wag,no damage will occur?

No but bolt rigs caused by thick floats allow heavier lines bigger hooks
                    thats what causes mouth problems

To be honest i think it all comes down to common sense but as for if your using a bigger float your gonna use bigger hooks i think is a load of rubbish,so does that mean if your fishing the pole on a 4×10 float on say a size 20 hook and you decide to change to a 4×8 float your going to put a size 18 hook on also??? some how i dont think so ~think

The diameter is to stop flat top / domed top floats been used as bolt rigs.

so do some novice anglers or youngsters, will they ban them aswell~think Bolt rigs do damage fish if there used with braided hook lengths. What do you think carp do when your fishing on a ledger rod and they feel the bomb/feeder? they bolt off,the only problem with a bolt rig i can see is if you get snapped, then the fish is swimming around with the lead attached to it.

Some fisheries do ban unaccompanied youngsters !
But i agree with what you say> It’s up to the fishery owner some use common sense some ban everything but in the end if people don’t like the bans don’t go to the fishery ! I think carp caught shallow will get rid of a reasonable sized wag easier than one the size of a pike bung so i support the limits. I don’t like the method so don’t fish matches where it wins all the time. I don’t really enjoy the lead for carp don’t know why so try to avoid venues where its all lead fishing. All down to personal choice !

Roll on April so we can catch some shallow on the waggler lol
