float stems

        there is always a lot of talk about floats on forums,
        pencil floats being the latest. in peoples opinion
        what do they think is the best material for float STEMS
        and why ?

          There is no best material for stems but as a rule wire gives good stability whereas carbon being lighter allows the float to take a little more weight. However if I could only use one material for float stems it would have to be fibreglass because in terms of stem weight it sits nicely between wire and carbon but is much stronger than either of them.
