Misterton Hall, Lutterworth

  I have just seen some of our clubs match bookings for next season, 1 is on Misterton Hall nr Lutterworth. It is an old estate lake. We had a match on it this season and I relly struggled to get through te small fish, and only had 10lb a the end. Winning weigh was over 30lb, mainly tench I think. Anyone fished it and got any ideas on the right approach.

  try pellet or worm and caster ,
  
  not fished the place for 12 months , but they both worked for me then mate

  Try paste and corn. Feed micro pellet and corn good for the fantails and tench. Maggot for the roach and perch.

  I fish the pole with doubled up No 6 with a pulla bung.

  fish chop worm and caster between 6 and 8 mtrs loads of tench white hydro good there

  hi,I’m just been trying to find out imformation on misterton hall lake, near lutterworth, my son lives up near it and was wondering if its still open, I’m coming up fron the london area and was needing some local info on it, my son hasnt a clue , would appreciate any info on the lake , day tickets , baits, types of method etc etc, Its a bit of a trek and dont want to go up there blind,any info would be appreciated .I saw this angling website had people who had fished it so contacted it. cheers.kirk :confused:

  Misterton can only be booked for a match,no day tickets.Call mrs Craven on 01455552424.It has fished steadily poorer over the last 4-5 years.Match weights are usually made up of tench fantails and the odd crucian.Weights of roach can be up to 10lb on occaisions.All baits will catch fish but pellet and paste usually scores.30lb top weights at the moment with 10lb being middling.Its a shame because 30lb wouldnt frame 4 years ago no-one seems to know whats happened,personally i think its fish theft as there hasnt been a fish kill and the owners say no netting has taken place.
