        Evening all,
My mate is looking to upgrade his G10 and buy a G-Max 1000.
He wants to sell the pole less the top kits.
It’s in good condition with no chips or repairs, however it does have the usual wear to graphics on the butt sections.
He would greatly appreciate any advice as to it’s current value.
        Thanks.

At a guess mate i would say between 700-800 depending on condition as pole only, but in todays climate he may even be pushed to get 700 with no tops or spare sections ie short 4s etc.

Thanks for the rapid reply Staff Bull.
He has got loads of spares to be honest so to be fair he might be just as well to throw in some 4’s as you say, he’d probably shift it easier by chucking some kits in too I’d guess.
            Thanks again.

Might get more money by splitting up and selling sections individualy?

                Thanks Tony,
He has loads of spares he’s hoping to sell separately anyway mate.
I’m sure he’s got something daft like 12 or 13 long 4’s for it for example amongst other sections. The guys somewhat of a tackle tart too so it has all been looked after and cleaned religiously.

I couldn’t agree more Martin, have a 1000 myself and although I have a couple of match kits off a previous pole that I use on it occasionally, I definitely notice the difference between those kits and the ones that are intended for use with the pole, affects the balance and stiffness far more than you would expect to be honest.
