TF_C.A.T.C.H.ParticipantChaps,
Im considering getting one of the older power poles from Garbolino as I have a G10 and want something for Carp Baggin at place like Meadowlands,Earslwood Boddingtons etc.
It will also serve as a backup in case I bust a section on the G10.
Can anyone shed any light on which I should consider?.I have a few questions.
1) Do both of the above fit the G10?
2) Which is the better pole for out and out baggin?
3) Anyone got one they want to sell? Thanks.
Tony.

TF_GavinI’d heard that the older G-Force Power was the better pole, the general train of thought than most was that it just “felt nicer” when I asked.
Both will interchange with your G10, but I don’t have either to sell! Ask around though and you may find a new one in a shop somewhere!

TF_SliderI currently own a G10 and have had a G Force power in the past few years but sold it, worst thing I ever did.
IT was solid, seriously solid and one of the best poles i have ever owned, able to be used to hit delicate bites @ 14.5 and even 16m and so strong you could land a small lorry on it.
I would go for the G Force over the G Power but be wary of interchanging sections as the 2 poles , G Force and G10 are so different you will end up smashing the G10 with a G Force section in it and vice versa.
I Used my G10 once with the 7th section of my G Force in it and my arse twitched on every fish as you could see the natural curve of the G10 was just stopped by this mega stiff and strong section in the middle.

TF_SliderBoth will interchange in terms of size but the balance of one to the other is all wrong, its fine if you need a section in an emergency , the day I used my G Force section in the G10 I had 199lb of Glebe carp shallow and it didnt break but it wasnt “right” if you understand.

TF_piperpilotG Force Powers are as rare as chickens teeth and don’t often come up for sale. If I could find a mint or new one I’d buy it in an instant,

TF_carpa22ParticipantHave to agree with all above have a g force power and it is awsome when fishing for proper lumps i have total confidence in the pole, super strong and very manageable, only problem is no one wants to sell one , best of luck in finding one.

TF_TomoBefore getting my Gmax i used the carp match to back up my g10 if i was on a shed load or an out n out hauling session. Believe you me that thing will stop anything!!
The carp match is made on the same mandrel as the g10 and really is the perfect compliment. It is light, strong and fully interchangeable.
Hope this helps bud. -

TF_C.A.T.C.H.ParticipantThanks chaps for the info.
I have seen the one on ebay and will keep an eye on it.
Guess I will have to phone round a few shops in the remote chance of them having a G Power is stock.Anyone know where I could try ie; Garbolino stockists?
Regards.
Tony.

TF_AKMEGAJParticipantIt’s my favourite pole ever – does what it says on the tin! Totally dependable and you know you can pull has hard as you like – used to fish Rolfs Lake a lot and had total confidence catching loads of double-figure carp with red hydro. I’ve also got other G-series match poles but wouldn’t interchange sections on the match pole (it’s OK to swap between the ‘match’ poles).

TF_slipperyIs the super G power not a better buy?,as it states it is stiffer & lighter than the G force power.(which i think it replaced)
