TF_bagging machineParticipantCan anybody tell me who stocks Browning tackle in the South or West Yorkshire area? I am wanting to have a look at their tension puller top kits with regards to fitting a Trilogy?

TF_paulDive got a couple of these for my Z9. Gonna buy some more cos they work really well. I know they fit some mavers and sensas poles but not sure about Tricast. ROPA usually answers this stuff about brownig you could PM him.
Says in their ads that you can email them direct for info as well. -

TF_bagging machineParticipantTried fishing republic in Sheffield yesterday & was told they have never had any in and never been asked for them. They were not very helpful to say the least.

TF_ropaI`ll get onto Rep for you mate, Sheffield Fishing Republic should be able to order them in for you, so will be following up on it. Leave it with me and I`ll get some info for you

TF_bagging machineParticipantMany thanks Martin, could you find me the length and weight of the kits as I understand there are two. A lighter top for long pole work and a heavier stronger top for close in & margin fishing. Also what elastic rating are they?
-
18/03/2011 at 7:47 pm #135522
TF_ropaThe Light Tension Puller Kit weighs 35g and is 2.60m long, elastic up to a 16.
Heavy weighs in at 64g and is 3.00m long, and you can use really heavy elastics for margin fishing.I`ve made a few calls mate, and fishing republic will find out if there are any at their shops or warehouse. Failing that I will contact rep tomorrow and sort it. -

TF_paulDI paid £70 for mine but think theyre 80 rrp.
ROPA to the rescue again, you should be on commision mate. Why dont Browning get their arse in gear and get their gear into the shops ? Ive bought a fair bit of their stuff recently and its all been brill including 2 new rods, but its so hard to find it in shops. Loads of gear on their website id like to have a look at and if i lived near you i’d be round your house !! -

TF_Tim_DI use a few browning rods, if you go for the top end range of their rods they are brilliant.

TF_Steve AmisonMy local tackle dealer has been waiting for a call back now for over a fortnight from the local Browning rep, as he’s trying to get me one of the 14 foot King Feeder rods to have a look at.
Not exactly cutting edge customer service, makes you wonder whether they want to sell any gear!
I know there’s a lot of interest in these feeder rods.

TF_squattropa, someone earlier in the post summed up Browning. There is some great gear at the moment but it’s all in the catalogue and not in the shops. How many people have handled a Z9 or King Feeder and where are the new drop feeders. They need a rocket up their a*se.
-
19/03/2011 at 7:26 pm #135607
TF_ropaYou are right mate, we need to get the gear in the shops, but in todays financial climate it`s assuring tackle dealers that it is that good and it will sell. I know to lads who are wanting to see it now, it aint good enough, but our reps and sponsored anglers are slowly changing the opinion of anglers and tackle dealers that Browning are producing top quality match fishing tackle once again. Browning are upping their effort on the U.K market by bringing in top quality reps and sponsoring more teams and individuals. Hopefully in the near future by hard work we will see Browning tackle in a lot more shops and available to more anglers.

TF_ropaWe trying mate, hoping in the next month to finalise plans for a lot more open days around the country in tackle shops to show the gear to the public.

TF_bagging machineParticipantCan anybody confirm that the Browning tops will fit the Trilogy?
-
19/03/2011 at 8:24 pm #135614
TF_ropaDon`t know what the joint size of the tri-cast is , but the puller kits have an internal joint size of 22mm.
-
19/03/2011 at 9:04 pm #135622
TF_mart4666ropa, when tony watson finally gets his z9 lol i’ll try one of his kits on the trilogy. looks some where around 22mm. been told browning cc 850 kits fit like a glove are they the same as z9 dia wise?????

TF_paulDas ROPA says, i think that the shops are half the problem. We miss out on a lot of good gear from browning, colmic, tubertini and the like cos shops wont stock it – dunno about you but im fed up with seeing the same old preston and drennan stuff in every shop i go in. The shops that do have this gear seem to be making a killing at the mo. My mate phnoned Colemans fishery for a price on a Z9 and the bloke told him theyd sold five Z7.5 and a Z9 in the last fortnight.

TF_ropaMartin, he will be getting his Z9 this week, he couldn`t get it until I sorted his contract out with Germany. They will more than likely fit, all Browning poles are made to be interchangeable regarding top kits, I`ll check for definate as the CC`S were the previous range before the Carboxy and Xitan range came out.

cheershave a look at MAP tops, they fit the Zeds perfectly, and will be easier to source. the proper match kits are great (map i mean as well as browning) and if the MAP kits fit the trilogy then the browning kits will fit. (all are 22mm) your man said the strip kits were 35 grams i think.

TF_bagging machineParticipantThe Browning kits are far too big for the Trilogy.
Browning 22mm dia. Trilogy 20mm dia. -

TF_ropaAny lads wishing to see the light puller kits, Z9`s, King feeder range, we will be having 2 open days in the North and hopefully more around the country. Saturday August 6th myself, Adam Richards and some of the Browning Quaker lads will be in the Sunderland Fishing Republic Store to show you the gear. And a week later Saturday August 13th I will be with Bob Nudd in the Barnsley Fishing Republic Store. Come along and a have a look. Anybody travelling to the Tacklefest this weekend at Peterborough, pop into Strike Master tackle tent as he will have the Range of King Feeder rods and at a show price!!!!

TF_Big FinnParticipantRopa, I will be with you on the 13th mate as Nick has pulled a favour from me. He has the Final of the Maver pairs or something like that so i said i would cover this day for him.

AnonymousBrowning customer service is awful. I broke the number 7 section of a £2k plus pole which had been out of production for 2 years.
Their nice man in Germany could not find a replacement and told me that as I had had the pole for 4 years I should be looking to replace it anyway – but not with Browning!! -

TF_sillysodfishing republic were like that with me when i ask about a browning product….they just didnt want to know.

TF_Big FinnParticipantRJM, What pole have you got or did you have?
Sillysod, thats strange as Fishing Republic are one of our biggest customers. And as Ropa has already said they are due a few ‘Bob Nudd days’ very soon.

22/07/2011 at 4:47 pm #145862
TF_ivorbigunHave to agree with rjm, browning germany are terrible and they let the uk browning reps down big time, who i found to be excellent.main reason why i no longer have a z9.

TF_ropaProblems we have had in the past are being addressed and communication with our headquarters in Germany are being sorted. I don`t know anybody`s individual circumstances regarding problems so can`t comment. If anybody has questions regarding poles please E-Mail, [email protected] or if you have a part to be returned, repaired or spare parts E-Mail, [email protected]

TF_squattropa going to Tackle Fest tomorrow to get a 14 foot KF off Mick Hope. Can you sort me out with a selection of specialist cage feeders(large) as mick hasn’t got any. A trade pack will do or 40-80grams at a push 😀 . Pretty please.

AnonymousSorry Big Fin only just seen your question.
The pole is a Champions Choice 990 – nothing wrong with the pole, just the after sales service.
