I was a massive Daiwa fan, however I have changed my mind recently. The latest gear is very poor imo and the prices are inflated. I pity the tackle tarts that are rushing out for Airity rods or £600 bolo vip’s.

I used one with the red elastic for one summer which was constant use pretty much when fishing pellet waggler. I will say the elastic lasted well, out lasts anything but, the elastic is too long, you use the toggle to shorten the elastic put after the next pouchfull the stupid thing has pulled through and you’re back at square one. Don’t get me started on the plastic cup, amount of times that bloody thing cracked me on the knuckles! Bloody hurts. I’m back using drennan match catys now and put up with the regular elastic changes. 🙂

Just buy the superb Drennan catapults… They last for ages!

                And they are cheaper!

Are ready cats still available? I have not seen them for years. The only problem I recall with them, when fishing wag and mag was the maggots jamming the elastic in the half round tube. Otherwise they were very good.

ive found the drennan are best for me, always have 3 set up in case the elastic goes or you drop 1, we all know how important it is to keep that feed going in.
replacing elastic or pouch is under 2 quid
