I missed it myself but will catch it up on the Iplayer over the weekend. These things are usually done very well by the Beeb.

A great servant to England and football and worthy of ignoring his club ties. ~clap ~clap ~clap ~clap

I caught the back end of it and totally agree. What a gent, he kept repeating how lucky he was. Every one regarded him in 1966 as the best around and Pele was still playing then.
I wonder how many of todays top players will look back like Bobby can, no regrets no baggage no cheating or conning referees.
I thought the part about Munich was very emotional, even Bobby was close to tears several times especially when talking about Duncan Edwards.
            Great TV.

              What a genuine,down to earth,and humble man.
Far far removed from the so called professional football players of today.

As a liverpool fan I can’t stand anything utd,but the players like Sir Bobby,Nobby Stiles,George Best and all the team who won the first european cup seem a breed apart from todays teams.Sir Bobby always comes across as an absolute gentleman and although used too much these days he is a legend.God knows what he thinks to todays preening, posturing, diving and imaginary card waving prima-donnas.A fantastic man, from an era when club loyalties did’nt stop us from appreciating great players.
