As the doggy duo say method feeder to the lilys is a good starter method but I think after that you’re better shallow on the pole than on the wag. I’ve usualy done well there (framed in 5 out of our last 7 I think Yozza?) when I’m not dicking around with feeder floats and usually do the following.
Start on the method feeder and feed a paste line to one side or the other at about 3 to 4m. Paste will also work hard against the margin depending on your peg. Some have a nice shelf a foot or so wide and some have a slope that makes the paste a waste of time. Pellet close in used to work when the place was full of crucians but they got thinned out in a pollution a couple of years back. You’re now fishing for stockies and the odd submarine.
Whilst on the method feed a 13m deck line with a view to coming up shallow over it later.
Give the method a least an hour and cast every five mins and see how it goes.
Baits are micro on the method with 4 and 6mm hookers or 8mm if you go with the wag and its windy.
Good luck.
