Due to the problems Invasive sepcies such as the asian clam pose to angling in the British Isles, the Irish Angling Development Alliance have developed a policy to prevent the spread of this species and others.

The no dip no draw policy has been endorsed by all affilliated clubs and is aimed at encouraging anglers to dip their nets and clothing before all matches.

Are they going to dip the cruiser boats as well?

I suspect that it will have little effect except to put more unwanted chemicals into the water. Leaving the nets out in the sun will have far more effect – oh, I forgot, this is Ireland we are talking about ~think

Maybe just invest in some huge micro wave ovens and put the nets through them on full blast for a couple of minutes. You would need to take the metal bits off first though.
