        am a big fan of doubled laccys and was wondering if my 5.4 to 4.1 was too light for this ,my mate says he uses nearer 6lb main line and 5 lb bottom .this is for general commie work with carp from 1lb to 15 lb,cheers

          0.14 hooklength is about as low as i’d go with double 8, most of my rigs are on a mainline of 0.16 or 0.18. The mainline is less of an issue, long as its at least as strong as hooklength, perferably .02 or more higher.
