Ordered through a local tackle shop in November 2010. Maver still out of stock.

Anyone know when Maver will start dishing these rollers out?

I bought one 2 weeks ago from my local tackle shop. It looked good in the shop, I got it home, literally took it out the bag and the complete end 2 legs along with the support arms fell off.

I’d like to say I damaged it myself, but after inspecting the roller it appears the internal rivet holding the ‘end piece’ in place had completely sheared, and in my opinion it’s a bad design and typical Chinese build quality.

I thought about taking it back, but couldn’t be bothered so fixed it myself. In all fairness, as a roller it’s pretty good, especially with the double extending legs and width. But as to whether it lasts, who knows…

been told by a reliable sorce that only 400 are due into the country soon which does not fill all the back orders so they will start at the top of the list and those at the bottom will have to wait till the next shipment which knowing how they operate will be about christmas

I brought the new Sensas big roller off the bay. Alot cheaper than the maver one. Would have thought the maver one was good quaility but sounds like I made the right choice.

I bought the Maver XL and think its great, got it online from Ian’s Tackle as that was the only place i’d heard had got any in. It stands higher than any Boss rollers i have and is also taller than my Preston V roller stability wise it seems very good.

                  Thanks for the replies.

I bought one off Amazon back in March, maybe February and got messed about for a week or 2 and eventually told it was out of stock.

I sold my Preston Freeflow roller when I had ordered the Maver Comp XL so i’m stuck with a very old Seymo Transformer. Next best option would be the Milo Brooklyn roller @ £20 more expensive but the legs don’t extend as high?

I just bought 2 of these and am well impressed with them. My only worry is that they might be too high in some situations but I still have a couple of trusty Boss rollers shoudl that situation arise.

The deal seems to be that the stock ordered in November has been delivered and the next shipment is due in July, so if your local has not got them then they wont have them till July.
