Finnish at 5 late start due to big pileup on motorway this morning

It fished very hard for most, when i left 120lb plus was winning off lake B peg 45, peg 2 second with 102lb with peg 1 not in. Very few if any fish caught short at all.

peg 2 is normally never in!

Think there were a lot of pegs in today which arent normally after talking to the locals who were walking round.

Anyone know who won and framed?

I think Tommy Pickering won Lake A where i was with 77lb, 22 Carp all on the method.

I drew on Plough 6, having laughed off yet another crap fisho draw i got to my peg to find another angler sat in it set up ready to fish!!

Once id convinced him he was on the wrong lake he proceeded to haul all of his gear out of my swim i wondered if it was worth it after all the commotion, but i fished and won the lake with 45lb!!!!

I was on 32 on A lake, problem was the peg opposite was in and the peg in the corner to my left, plus peg on my right so i had literally nowhere to go if i couldnt catch short.

I think it was Andy Favill who won the match

Yes its allowed, I was first in said water on that lake. If its blowing a hoolie and you can get in the water to fish across holding 13m rather than 16m it makes sense.

Clouding the water definatley helps as well, lol, i was very surprised when I hook a f1 on the edge of my foot plate whilst filling my kinder.

I do not detect moans Joff. The comments made, I think are constructive.
Who would expect someone to be on your peg with a platform in the water? For a start it should not be allowed but if the rules do not say so someone will do it.
I think any commercial I have ever fished with every peg in is a joke. On opens there are a number of pegs never used. Only clubbies at weekends are put on them as every peg will be sold.
That why I have stopped going as too many times I have suffered as Carpmajic did with no where to go. Anglers are travelling long distances and I think organisers have a responsibility to try to give everyone a chance. I know there will always be flyers but there are more pegs that frankly leave the guy who draws them with absolutely no hope. If 25 peg lakes could be used with 10 on then you are giving everyone somewhere to fish and a chance of winning.
Surely for such a prestigeous competition suitable venues can be found.

Fisho’s are all about drawing well, everyone knows that so there’s no point moaning about it. I’ve had 3 fisho tickets so far and been very lucky to draw well in all 3, had 100lb+ each time, think i’ve run out of luck now 🙁

quite right mate ~clap BUT again commercials are a law to themselves also i think this round had been cocked up due to the spread venues when it was first announced ~sick ~sick never a good idea
i also think that more anglers are entering the fish-mania and the only way to cater for this amount of anglers is to put every peg in or you would have to go down the regional lines and have qualifiers in set areas ~think

the other way is to play fish-o-mania online pay your money and draw it out of a hat ~sick ~sick ~sick can’t see that taking off ~sick ~sick
its a one off competition non of the finalists think there’s anything wrong with it

its very hard on the angler BUT it also brings anglers into a competition where they have a chance of £30,000

It seems the issue with fisho alot of the time is not the venues themselves but the amount of anglers they try and cram on making the fishing poor and in turn the weights lower.

Why not simply have more qualifiers? And on a 130 peg complex for example put 80 pegs in giving people room?

i think its the number of finalists as more qualifiers you have means more go through
me personally thinks it works ok as many anglers expections are very OTT on snake venues and smaller commies

I recal being charged once for parking when I was on the trent and had walked miles to my peg.
On Fisho surely venues need to be selected properly. There can be few venues that can hold 120 anglers. On festivals at W/A 180 anglers would be on 6 or 7 different lakes but at least most will have a reasonable day out.
