I’ve just bought a big bore power kit for my pole and up untill recently I’ve always uses an external bush, but with an external bush on this kit it looks huge. I dont have the confidence to put an internal bush in with a large elastic, I have a vision of the bush pulling through the side of the tip and splitting the end of the tip section.
Can somebody put my mind at rest and tell me they use internal bushes with large elastics without any problems.
        What do other people prefer?

I use internal bushes for everything including Orange or Red Hollow Vespe which is more than enough to land anything you may encounter imo.

Some prefer external, some internal but the most important advantage using internal is your rig has much less a chance of looping around the tip of your pole which it can do because of the rim of the external bush on outside of pole tip.

Also, everything is much neater and i generally think i get a better flow of elastic from pole using internal bushes.

I use internal bushes on all my top’s and use up to purple hydro in them no problem. I’ve a mixture of the red Preston XL internals and the newer Drennan ones in my tops but there is plenty of others out there!

The Maver internal bushes are as good as any in my opinion and not priced over the top either.

INternal all the way, like others never heard of them pulling through the wall. only way I could see this happening is if you split the top when cutting it back to fit. If you’re really worried, just whip some 0.1omm line from the tip down a little bit and ‘varnish’ it with superglue. That would beef it up slightly.

I use internal, and like the others, have never heard of one pulling through the side of the pole.
