Can anyone recommend the best system for storing tackle.
I am looking for something suitable for pleasure angling (float stick & waggler) on the Norfolk Broads and rivers.
I am wanting a tackle box that will have fitted smaller boxes inside. Each box will have seperate compartments of varying sizes to hold hooks, floats, lines, spare spool etc.

I personally use Fox Boxes but these are quite expensive, also Plano do some good storage solutions but again pricey.

My local shop in MK has the new (green) Daiwa modular boxes which are really good value and look sturdy and built well.

You can also look at the stuff aimed at the Carp anglers as modular tackle boxes for rig stuff from Chub and the new Greys boxes are pretty good.

For rig making/floats etc I have rive trays that I can add or take off my box depending on where I am fishing, with the trays being seperated with the insert boxes.

Cheapest full solution is the chub smartbox.

Can’t comment on quality as I’ve not used. I use the Nash Box logic range which are very good quality but a bit more expensive.

Allan, a lot of the modern tackle boxes have drawers that will cover all the smaller items of tackle, spare spools, scissors, line, shot plummets, disgorgers and also have the facility for storing ready winders under the seat or elsewhere. The base can be used for reels, sandwiches bait etc.

They are also adjustable for levels and have footplates. If I were you I would have a look for those.
