Compared to the preston and garbolino moulds, as anyone used the Drennan method and mould and is it any better with the connector tucked inside the feeder?

I like the look of the connectors, I have been using the Korum quick change bead, which tend to be a bit fiddily and reading another forum they get a positive write up. Will have to get some and give them a try.

              First impressions very good.
I gave them a go on Wednesday. The connector system is brilliant; It’s easy to change from a big to a small method feeder (and to a standard cage feeder if you need to) without retying any knots. I was already using the Drennan quick change beads but I think I’ll be using the method connectors, with a buffer bead, for all my feeder fishing in future. It would also be OK for the pellet waggler
The new silicone method moulds worked perfectly every time, which is not always the case when I use the Preston moulds; that could have been down to the mix I was using on the day though.
Final plus point, the feeders are cheaper than most other makes. Handy when you cast like me.

These moulds are very good, on par if not better than prestons. Hopefully drennan will bring out some elasticated methods but in the meantime I will still use the Preston methods in the drennan mould. The quick change stonfos are brilliant also.

Notice the lack of hyped articles in the mags regarding these feeders?? No need as Drennan = quality!~clap

Must just be me then that can’t get the moulds to work! Pellets kept staying in the mould, not on the feeder so went back to Preston or Garbo with bag and no problem! I do love the method connectors though!

They work really well. I used mine for the first time at the weekend and the only time I had a problem was when I put too much groundbait in the mould.~naughty

Use pellets too and never had a problem. The connectors work really well for changing hooklengths and much easier than anything else I’ve used.~clap ~clap ~clap

Nathan if you keep the mould wet it works -just have it in a bait tub of water.

I found the connectors are excellent and they cast really well.

The mould also fits Guru feeders too.

Did you use pellets or groundbait and did you keep the mould wet like Fordy says?

                                        Hi nath
I used micros and no didn’t use the mould wet
Added a few spoons of Horlicks and it worked like a dream
What I did find it’s best to overfill and press it very firmly

Seems to be the season for Methods & Moulds.

Browning will be releasing in the next 2 weeks a range of method feeders and moulds which are made in the UK under the Kobra name, there will also be the distance methods with the brass stem.
