        Hello All,

Anyone out there fished Flecknoe fisheries recently??

I have a 20 peg match there in a couple of weeks.

We fished it last year and I drew on the dam wall and struggled big time (as all did on the dam).

1st and 2nd came from the 2 end pegs (which they have done the 3 or 4 times I have fished it.

If anyone has any info I would be interested.

        Cheers,

Not true that it’s all carp. Fished it last weekend and the fish were not interested until the last hour which for us was 3-4pm.

One of the chaps fishing caught crucians at about 10z a piece but did not stay on them as he saw others catch odd lumps and had a panic attack and tried to do too many things.

Washed out meat worked for me down the margins, 4-6mm. At about 6m out I used paste and caught.

Don’t go by any reports you have heard from pleasure anglers (or most of the Loco) over the last few weeks as the fish really are not feeding during match times.

One or two pegs will do well with a good angler on them as always.

By the time your match comes round it will be all different again.

The month before I was catching on maggot up in the water for anything that swims, and had roach to a 1lb crucians to 2lb odd skimmers and odd carp. lost most of the carp as I was fishin too light but if you didnt you didnt catch.

In the right hands peg1, 25,24,23,22 are always contenders. The other side pegs will depend on the wind direction and where the sun hits the water. Dam wall is rarely put in on our matches as too many of our Loco lot like to wang a feeder in a very creative casting pattern, so to avoid fisticuffs they are not put in. Personally I would have no worries catching off them, so they are deep pegs doesn’t mean you fish deep. 😉

Best of luck..just enjoy the day and don’t get caught up in the ton up and bag’em brigades version of a good days fishing.

              Cheers Cut,

              Appreciate the advice.

Will now approach it to catch whats in front of mr, and not focus on the bigger fish.

Look forward to a decent draw!

              Cheers again.
