have just tried method feeder fishing for bream for the first time.
when i used it as it should be used with short hook lenght 10 cm, it was fine, but no bites, when i changed it for a longer one 30cm and longer, just to see if the breams backed of the feeder it tangled up almost every cast, when it didn´t tangled it was fish on, i also noticed less bites when i put the bait in the mould, the + was in that case no tangles, but also less bites. so for me to get more bites was to leave the hookbait out of the feeder but then tangles.
mabye i should stick with caged feeders.

any suggestions to what i´m doing wrong

I agree with your conclusion. If you are catching more with a longer hooklength and leaving the hookbait out of the feeder, I would question whether there is any merit in fishing the method as opposed to a conventional feeder.
