For me its down to if you want the extra 4th sections buy the Arity if not buy the X.
I had the same dilema last year, bought the X.

Why Compare them ? After all they are different poles, aren’t they?

Personally, have had them both up & I think they are slightly different, I think I’d chose the Airity, even though I currently own a Pro!

Really, not having used one , i thought they were comparable strength wise, for me the Airity seemed “quicker” if you get my meaning.

I had every intention of buying the Pro X , but when i had an Airity up alongside it in the shop the Airity definately felt better in the hands to me and as already said seemed quicker, enough for me to cough the extra.

If cost is the issue you could always sell a couple of the Airity no4’s to bring it closer to the Pro X price.

the only things the same are the top 3’s just different coloured triangles and the mandrill they’r made on they are both made from different carbons and hence are different poles.you can get the technical spec’s off the daiwa website.i’v had my airity for 3.5 years now and not had any probs,i use it for margin work and long fishing the biggest carp i had on sunday was 14lb 10oz,i use the short 4 when margin fishing.it’s a very strong pole,we all use poles differently so we’ll all have different opinions, most of the anglers i fish with have either pro or airity or garbo’s.
