Cool. I manage to post 2nd time around. Guess i pressed the wrong button, lol. Still enjoyed the older site most before the last one but sure i will get use to this new site. Time to play and see what the new baby can do.

Just one problem I can see, If I’m viewing a board index (say: Course and Match fishing) and I click on the arrow to go to the last post on a thread, I get taken back to the main Discussion page.
I’m using Internet Explorer 9.

Strange one, those little arrows work on pages like ‘View unread posts’ just not in the main listings. I’ll look into it.

Site looks great folks. All we need now is a good arguement to wet the babies head.

I think you guys should have permission to upload attachments now, which you can use to upload pictures and stuff.

You can also use the ‘img’ button at the top of the editor, if you click that then just paste a direct link to an image in between the two tags it will embed the image for you.

I don’t think there is any limit on size, but be sensible! 🙂

You should also be able to edit your own posts, and delete your own topics. Let me know if this still isn’t the case. The permissions on this forum are a bit overkill to be honest, still trying to fine tune them. But at least the Viagra spam has gone eh?

I don`t like the homepage,its a mish mash of (for sale/wanted, sites selling non fishing related products)

Other one was much more user friendly and easier to distinguish posts 🙁

When you say homepage, do you mean the main homepage of the site, or the forum?

I’ve got a decent CAPTCHA running now so they aren’t able to create new accounts, the only spam posts will be from existing spam bot created accounts, which we are diligently deleting.

If you seen any please report them using the ! icon in the top right of the threads, given a little more time they should go away completely. Have a little patience though we are working on it! Also try not to reply to them as it creates more work getting rid of them.

Click on HOME …The main forum list does not categorize i.e For sale or is that cause they haven`t been put in that section by the seller?

Ahh I see, I removed the ‘posted in’ column due to lack of space. I guess it could have two rows per entry instead.

Is everyone seeing the right time on new posts now? You can set your time zone in your own user account but the import had them set back an hour so I forced everyone onto UTC+1

Give it a couple of weeks Glebe some people are struggling to log on as we expected and we are gradually working through it.

If you can’t log in try re-registering…. we had some problems with the anti spam thing preventing people registering over the weekend and so we’ve switched it off for now until Paul (my tech man) gets back – (hence the amount of spam on the forum at the moment which Paddy and myself are trying to manage….

The site is worse now, full of useless posts. Out of date articles. Should have left it as it was.

I find the site fine on the home computer, but cluttered and a pain to navigate on my phone. In this day and age I think a bit more thought could go into making the site more phone friendly. This mind you is a common fault of most of the fishing sites, some of the manufacturers ones are virtually impossible to load on a phone. I would have thought that the ones such as Nash and Korda, who cater mainly for carp anglers would have made it easier for their punters holed up in their bivvys, oh no, not at all far to many vanity vids etc, and as for the pure fishing one, kin hell its so fussy you kind of lose the will to live as you chase round in circles. The Drennan one took years to arrive and its a bit of a damp sqib in my opinion. I saw a post somewhere asking about the Guru website, which is at present just a holding page, my bet is the orange glow is going to be fantastic, and I will be able to get rid of the flashlight ap that I have on my phone.

well, I was browsing the forum with my 10yr old daughter sat next to me (teachers on strike so kids at home) and I click on a thread and theres a porno image displayed 😮 😮 😮 😮 Not good enough really 😡

Really can’t apologise enough for that. I’ve set it up so newly registered users can’t post images or use any BBcode.

One becomes a full member after making 3 posts I think, which then activates all the images and whatnot. It should stop any more nasty surprises like that anyway.
