Kamasan B511 with the barb squased or Mustad wide gape canal seed. I like Preston Chianti floats.

Mustaard canal special or a B560 and make em ‘ave it. B511 are too easy to bend imo.

Kamasan B511 is the best hemp hook ever, in my opinion! Used it for years and it is ideally suited to hooking hemp by pushing the bend into the hemp because of it’s wide gape. Had plenty of big river roach to over 1lb and never had a problem with them.

Float-wise, on a river I always liked Colmic Jolly’s (can you still get them??) but as a stillwater pattern the Preston Chianti (or similar) is an ideal shape.

Tubertini Series 2 or Series 4 take some serious beating for seed fishing. Overlooked by many anglers nowadays as they don’t fish the seed anymore or fish for silvers!

another vote for the B511 coupled with a drennan seed float.

                    b511 or b611 if you need a stronger hook,depending on conditions i use a tubertini styx .
