Hi Tony,i havent fished it this year but i won our club match on there last year with 140lb.
I caught 60lb shallow at 14m on banded 6mm pellet feeding 6mm but the fish are very cute and have seen it all before,a long line might help! and i had 80lb down the side on red maggot, i fed 4 pints and fished 4/5 maggs on the hook 🙂 the fish were an average 4lb to 6lb shallow,but down the edge i had some getting on for double figures 😉

respect gives a big hnt as to the way to tackle the lakes at Hampton Springs including Rock pool. Catch what you can early with either pellet up and down or meat/corn over hemp on the deck at 12/14 meters and short at 5/6 meters at the bottom of the near shelf. Then, aim to bag up down the bank in the second half of the match. For me, hemp and plenty of it is the way to go with either meat or corn. I would not go near Hampton at this time of the year without at least 4 pints of hemp and 6 tins of meat or corn.
