Mosella/ Garbolino produced a prototype alternative fittings for the appollo to take top5’s; I saw one last autumn but it hasnt hit the shops – I thought that the gap between the roosts would put the no4/ 5 at risk in a high wind and have the same opinion of all the versions that just attach to your box.

Only way I can see is a free standing roost with one on an arm attached to your box legs or side tray legs.

Preston and Rive both do versions as do others no doubt.

Have a look at back issues of MF to see what Allan Scotthorne has made – a box roost with pole tulips replacing the foam to hold the kit securely plus a preston roost that has being adapted – two sets of preston foam holders glued into a longer replacement piece of aluminium – works very well and gives plenty or room for kits and rods.
