The hoped for massive bream weights did not materialise after the lake was cooled by heavy local rain over the last twenty four hours, still a decent turn-out of 37 anglers enjoyed some reasonable sport with bream of all sizes showing strongly.

Winner had 1 carp of 10lb and 15 Bream on the cage feeder filled with groundbait and caster and dead red maggot on the hook casting 40yards to the small island from “point” peg 55 on the Bluebell bank.

Runner up had a similar catch on the other side of the lake with one 7lb carp and 25 bream to 3lb, on method feeder on a variety of hookbaits.

His son Adam fished the same way but went for a long chuck (70 yards)
into open water for an all bream bag.
Fourth placed Denis Dutton was also on the method using pellet on the hook.
