I’m fishing there next week on a club match and as I’ve never fished it before, any info would be gratefully appreciated. Thank You

Pikey, if you get it right, you can come as a guest of Warlingham when we fish Skirmish on 25 September

You can attack skirmish lake in 2 different ways either by method feeder up against the island with micro pellts or groundbait for the carp. Or you can fish the pole with expanders to catch the skimmers, plus down the edge.
The best pegs are the gap in the island or opposite the rhodendron bush on the point, if you are pegged around the back of the island then you’ll be better off fishing a different lake as you’ll be wasting your time.
Not sure what the best baits are at this time of year for the lake as I normally only fish there during the winter

Tarqun – On our club match last year they put 3 pegs on the far side of the island and they filled the first three places, the winner had over 100lb

Pikey as i said i only fish there in the winter so we don’t ted to but the back of the island in as its shallower than the rest of the lake.

thanks for letting me know how the back of the island fishes in warmer months just in case we hold a knock up them in the future
