Pegs 1-25 near the dam wall are deeper than the later pegs. With the wind against the dam bagging wag works a treat or method feeder, pellet feeder etc. The pegs further up 30- 50 are shallower and carp can be caught close in. Most pegs can produce 25lb of roach close in, there are also nice tench to be had on pole and expander on some days.
It is an extremely fickle water and never fishes the same from one day to the next.

Was there Saturday, 2 lads using the spod up in the water caught more than rest put together! Looked to be a lot of floater in their mix though and floaters were banned! 😮

Thanks Mick, think you’re right! Had 4 carp early on on the bagging wag and that was better than most, many with 1 or 2 fish, few blanks, as said, needed the spod shallow float thing with god knows what gunk in it and a change of clothes for after as half of it goes in your hair and down ya back! 😮
