2nd Barnsley
3rd Maver NW
4th ?
5th Maver Image
6th StarletsEnd pegs were quite good! Venue fished very hard , some proper nightmare draws saw off quite a few fancied teams then a torrential downpour when weighing in finished most of us off ! I need beer 😎

TF_FBluesDorking by 60 points, apparently no one outside top 10 in section. Steve G 1st 4.5kg, Des Shipp in top 7/8. Will Raison and Dave Harpin also section winners, Darren Davies 2nd. Amazing those stats, peggy or not they must have done something right!

TF_jwbMega result from Dorking – well done 😀
1 question would be how does a team get 2 end pegs on a random draw  -
07/08/2011 at 7:41 pm #146587
TF_Castermaster2ParticipantUnreal performance from Dorking, although it helps having half the England team fishing for them :p
I wonder if the others questioned what Steve Sanders did 😀
Had a grueller myself, couple hundred grams for 3 fish and not an awful lot of points 🙁
Tomorrow is another year, and I quite like the sound of the Bristol Avon 😎

TF_DodgeJust a thought …..
Trail of thought whilst talking to a lot of anglers after the div 1 last weekend was that the junky holds a lot of bloodworm , lots of larvae could been seen from time to time over the last few weeks on there so the dumpy roach in the venue must eat a lot of it naturally. Maybe the New Junction would make a decent home world champs venue ? the Dorking and Barnsley England squad lads certainly have the venue worked out 😉 😎

TF_yiddoDodge,
You say it holds alot of worm mate? I was in f section on sat and there was roach topping all along the length all day yet we struggled for bites do you think they were preoccupied with eating the larvae as they were emerging? I have never seen so many fish topping and yet nobody could catch the roach consistently. A worm and joker match would be very interesting -

Dodge they used to double peg it on winter leagues the water goes like tap water and the fish ball up. Its hardly fished in winter because the Stainey is so good. Last time I fished one I won my section with a chub on lobworm, 4oz was second with 6 blanks. End pegs are okay as usual but can be dire. Its unreal sat on your box been able to see every pebble on the bottom in 12ft of water!
