I am not getting on with my MAP hooklength box after a couple of months. I just can’t get the hooks to keep tension when I take one out, far too fiddly especially in match condition and wind/rain etc.
I am waiting for the new Prestons larger hook length boxes to come out, I had a lot of the old smaller preston boxes and though the MAP box would bring things together.

Anyone else having the same problem or modified them in any way?

Can’t wait for the new Preston ones myself, the MAP ones are a waste of space.

Such a great idea but so badly implemented, if instead of mucking about with all the useless foam they’d just set pegs at different distances within it would have been a real winner 😡

dunno what makes of seatbox your lads have but if you email scot bufton (buffys hookboxes)he’ll custom make you one to fit in one of your box trays done me one to fit perfectly into a 30mm rive tray+its bob on no foam just sturdy pastic coated pins you tell him how long/short you want your hooklengths+he will set the pins to suit not daft money either

make your hooklengths the length you want using the scale on the box, form a loop in the other end, hook the hook around the peg.
Get a paper clip and open it out (I just leave that in the box itself) put the paper clip through the loop and tension the line as you push it into the foam slots.
Simples!! and it stays trapped nice and neat until you want them out.

Map box was a load of hype. Didn’t get on with mine, poorly made & too fiddly.

I think the MAP box is brilliant, no faults with mine.
