Fished it about a month ago mate, is stocked with a mix of fish mainly tench 12ozish, skimmers and carp which seem to be about pound and a half with the odd lump.
Would start to the far bank with 4mm over micros, with worm and caster to change to if this doesn’t work. And have a line in the track with worm caster and hemp.
50lb odd won on end peg, most had 20-35lb. You will enjoy it!

Great, thanks for the info mate! looking forward to it!
All fishing on the deck in the track or up in the water? Also at what sort of distance?
            Cheers

its about 13.5 ish wide , it was very weedy , its too deep down the middle , the margins dont fish ,ltheir is not enough fish in it for a commercial , the owner should have asked for advice when he made the lakes, from anglers, but very nice surroundings

Agree that he hasn’t had proper advice about how to make it, he’s a millionaire and looks like he has spent the money as a hobby. Think it’s on a high piece of land as it always seems to be windy making fishing long a task in itself…
However don’t think it was weedy when i went think he’s sorting that. I caught skimmers/bream, tench and couple of big ide in the middle, my dad had 41lb all tench aswell, was about 6-7 foot i think? Margins fished for end peg that won. It isn’t full of carp like most commercials but in a couple of years when the tench and barbel are over 2lb will be good fishing!

I fished Upper Benbo in a match last Sunday.

I was on permanent peg 7 which is half way along and weighed 33-13 for 2nd place. The winning weight, third and fourth all came from end pegs.

Hulme’s advice is spot on. Pellet on the far side worked best for me but my peg required at least 14.5m of pole and as was said, it catches the wind there very easily and i was not able to fish the far bank all day. Also caught from the track just up the slope at about 12 metres using worm over chopped worm and caster.

The track is too deep and rather foolishly he’s put lily pads on the far bank midway between the swims. As the fish get bigger they will prove to be a real problem. The guy has the money, he just needs a fishery manager to put him right, as I fear the return he’s likely to get on his investment will be compromised otherwise.

The place is certainly not your normal carp puddle and has been landscaped very well.
