hi all, does anyone have any up to date on how the lake is fishing and what tactics and baits are doing well?

Ring steve gardener at KC angling on 0208 642 6222 he runs a few knock ups recently there , and has picked a bit of coin up lately so he is obviously doin g it right.

last time i was there..it was pellet and meat(cat) doing the damage, method or wag over to the islands or on certain pegs where you can get a pole over .. 😎

Phoned KC angling but steve g is away at the world champs. when i’ve fished before you’ve needed large quantities of bait. is this still true and if so how much do you take?

corn is soooooo yesterday there..not saying it doesn’t work but other baits are out scoring it now…i would go down lidl’s and get about six/eight of the large tins of opticat..beef/fish and loads of pellet..12 pints of 8mm and 6’s and micro’s or gb for the feeder..probably a couple of tins of normal meat..whether i’d use that lot depends on the day…the thing is you need to feed the small fish off..but by all accounts alot of small fish have been taken out…but there’s still lots in there.. 🙂
pole shallow can work, method feeder pellet wag..margin..it all works. 😉

Thanks for the info, just been told that meat is working well, but you need to be using big cubes eg over 10mm on a short pole line. So I have a plan of some sorts coming together!
