A small micro pellet method or groundbait method if you got an island to chuck to, or even between the islands with 6mm hard pellet, meat, or dead reds on hook.

The margins we never done much good on this lake at all its always further out which is suprising as there are good numbers of fish. they just dont seem to settle in close??

Small carp to 1 1/2lb -2lb mainly with odd bigger fish going to 4-6lb but these are not the normal stamp.

Plenty of skimmers on long pole after you fed a bit at start and then cupping pellets little and often over the top. If it goes quiet on tip, and you want rest your peg it puts something back in your net. 😉

It will be won with carp I would think though tight to Island

Fished it a couple of times mate, problem is most of the islands are really overgrown and it’s difficult to get tight to them. There are only 2 or 3 pegs where you can get tight up. A little pellet wag and 6mil pellets if you are between the islands can win the match. The corner pegs can produce but don’t spend too much time on them if you draw one – feed 6mils and fish paste and just hope a few carp settle. Pellet at 12metres for skimmers on the deck works well and don’t neglect a really short line on a topkit with casters – loads of quality roach, small tench and crucians can keep adding to your weight if it’s hard.
