        Hi all,
Me and a mate are off to the lakes doing some feeder fishing for roach.
Question is i’ve heard people talking about a double hook hooklength of around 7ft long.
Obviously one hook at the end but how far up the hooklength should the other hook be and
is it tied on using a 4 turn water knot or another type of knot and also how long should this paternoster section be approx?
        Cheer’s Derek.

          Hi,

Which of the lakes are you going to fish? For the double hooking your right just use a water knot. As for distance between hooks, can be anything really on a 7ft tail I’d probably have it midway to start.

Wouldnt use a 7ft hook lengh, I used to use 4ft/2ft ration of hooks. I sometimes use some Amnesia for a stiff main hook length and then supple hook length for the off shots. Its a brilliant method. Will have to put a desc of that rig on my blog for other to see, never really see people using it. Works on big reses though.

              Cheers,

              Nathan.
