        Morning chaps, long story but ive had a struggle with my insurance company to replace my pole, after a long fight i gave up and they have sent me a Maver Match This 4 pole when i had a Whisker all terrain.

        Anyone know anywhere in south yorkshire where i could take this brand new never opened maver pole and chip it in against a Whisker ?

          wickersley *might* entertain it, where’s your local shop? if they know you and know it’s not knocked off they might help. i’d flog it on here or ebay tbh. there was someone after a match 3 on here i think a few days ago.

            cheers fella, its deff not knocked off i have proof of purchase from angling direct so i can give the 12 month warranty with it if someone wanted it, but tbh i cant be arsed with someone wanting me to sell it for peanuts. Ive used wick angling a few times but my local shop doesnt do Maver 🙁

              Cant help you shift your pole mate but id like to know how it came about you ended up with the Maver if you didnt want it, if you have had a bad experience with your insurers, naming them would help others on here!

                here goes…..they said ‘we will arrange like for like dont worry’ which in fairness they did do as we had alot of other things taken as well (but they only took my pole and ready rods out of my tackle), i said i had a whisker they said ok (should of said airity like everyone else does lol), when it came to they said we are sending you this its like for like, i argued it cant be as the whisker is still made, they said thats a £2500 pole i said it wasnt they said it was, we have chosen this we cant change it now its at the value you agreed upon your claim of £1500 so they sent the maver…………..

                I will not name and shame as they have only ballsed up on the pole tbh, it just happens to be the only real bit of kit i wanted to be right lol, typical Eh ? hence me trying to arrange a whisker, but tbh i can see me laccying this match4 up ready for tomorrow and have done :confused:

                  Show one thing- insure your stuff for the full RRP as opposed to the real price, else they’ll shaft you!

                    the other bits and bobs have been replaced like for like it just seemed to be the pole :confused: god knows pal, its in the for sale gauging interest if i dont get any decent offers ill be a maver pole user very soon lol

                      Thats a bit off in my opinion and id be gutted on principle, we only find out how good our insurers are when we make a claim, hope you get it sorted.

                        Cheers lads, I was gutted but just got it out on the lawn as you do and I’m quite supprised how good it is tbh, Im gonna give it a whirl see how it is with a commercial carp on it 🙂
