The difference is they are both overpriced sh*te. Buy something from Shimano i.e Speedmaster/Beastmaster range.

I have the Tourny and prefer the cork butt to the new Airity reel fitting.
The only issue I have with the rod is that it does not break down into 2 pieces for transporting in a ready rod sleeve, you have three pieces.
Once set up it is a joy to use.

id say you really need to get a grip of the airity before you buy because its not to everyones taste and id say feels totally different to what you will be used to

I have both and think they are both superb rods. The Airity handle took a little getting used too but now I find I use it as my main method/pellet feeder rod and the Tournament as a back up/bomb rod.

The only disappointing thing with both are the tips supplied which I found to be of a poor build quality. I replaced them with the new generic feeder tips which are much better.

I’ve used a tourny and a beastmaster and find myself using the beastmaster more. it definitely has a nicer action. having said that, there is something magical about a tourny rod and the handle, etc. They are instantly recognisable and a tackle tarts dream. It’s not that they are bad rods, and have more backbone than a breastmaster, but the beastmaster is slimmer, lighter and more responsive. Oh, and the action with the spliced tips is superb.

I have a T/Pro 10ft Bomb rod and agree it is superb, one downer is as mentioned before you have to break it down into three. Another downside is the light tips, you just have to look at them in the wrong direction and they snap, so beware.

Also have a look at the Garbolino G-MAX 10Ft Bomb Road, I’ve just bought one and its as good as the Tourny and £100 notes cheaper, it really is a quality piece of Kit, if I had a choice between the two knowing what I know now, I’d have the G-Max, breaks into two as well and supplied with about 4 tips which are far better quality BTW.

Spuds i have had my tp 10/11 bomb rod just over a week and have to say it is an awsome piece of kit, yes it is expensive but worth the money in my eyes, dont be put off how thin it is at the butt once you pick it up you won t want to put it down, it does have some back bone when needed a mate of mine won one of the makins midweek matches about a month ago using the above rod with just over 200lb straght lead and pellet he had a few doubles in with that.
