Fishing well mate. I’ve won about 20 matches there this year, winning weights usually 60lb-120lb+ depending on the day. Off the majority of pegs fish 3 lines – bomb at about 25 yards, shallow pole at 16metres both with 8mm pellet and margin with meat. Constantly feed all the lines and swap between them to find where there fish are on the day.
Method feeder was unbeatable in the spring and i expect it to start throwing up weights again soon so would bare that in mind. Tight lines! 🙂

Have told you how you should fish it lol…
Been today end peg 34 won 98lb margins . Peg 30 had 86lb margins and bomb. I was 3rd, 71lb from peg 8 on the bomb. Fish are alot bigger round the back so don’t need as many…

I seem to remember reading on this thead that 8ml pellets and meat where the top baits. Seems simple to me and spot on from the odd visit i,ve had to Border match lake.

How many anglers have been turning out for your matches, Hulme? How much are the pools and whats the pay out like? Thinking of joining your club this year as its not too fare for me and i,ve always enjoyed the fishing on there. Might give you a bit of competition!

Is a power struggle with the commitee at the moment so would wait and see what comes of it before joining mate. Hopefully will be sorted for next year and talk of having a good re-stocking on other lakes !
Get around 20 on thursday matches, few more usually on saturdays. £10 entry £4 peg fee (again may change next year..). Extra pound on thursdays goes to golden peg- always at least one at £100. Bank holiday matches are £20, pay 100 every 5 pegs! Machin comes these 🙂

Thanks Hulme. Sounds good and will look in to things a bit more. Neils easy enough to beat if i can draw close enough to him. 3-2 to me in peg to peg situations on Cudmore and White Acres. Problem is he does tends to draw well away from me when he is on plenty of fish.
