        Hi,
Got a few matches here next week, will be on Partridge, Skylark and Curlew.
If any one has fished these recently or goes often please can you give me the low down.

        Many Thanks

        Rick

Most successful approaches recently revolve around a margin line (if possible try and fish in front of a spare pallet, with a big bait to avoid the silvers); pellet at 4m at start of match and late on; method with micros or bomb and 8mm pellet. in the right conditions you may be able to get a few on shallow hard pellet at 14-16 m. Corner pegs can good – method towards the halfway point on the boards and pole to the boards if you can reach.
The fish run a big average size so beware though they can be shy of heavy gear.

Final point – the temperature had dropped a few degrees over the last week and approaches may start to change. If it does and on the harder pegs its worth considering micros/ expanders on the long pole. Plenty of silvers to boost weights if your looking for average results – silvers dont win matches at woodlands unless it proper cold and icy!

#sorry – not 100% sure; I am sure its generous though – 10 pints pellets plus other stuff – they ask u to use fishery pellets on the matches.

just got back from todays open – its fishing pretty hard after a lot of pressure recently. I got my section on default with 61lb; 108lb won then 91; 84; 74. Normally I would expect a string of ton weights this time of year but the pressure together with the rain and dip in temperatures has dampended the fishes enthusiasm!

Very few fish caught close in today – 6 m line or long pole/ bomb was best.

four on bomb and 8mm pellet @20m; 1 @4m on 8mm expander; 3 on deck pinged 6mm pellet at 14m; 6 shallow over pinging line.

Lad who won my section and 2nd overall from skylark 8 (consistent peg for some reason) seemed to catch well at 6-7m and on bomb later on – I may be wrong though!
