TF_One Out of the FrameI’m soon to be back on the bank after an absence of nearly five years from competitive fishing.
I dislocated my shoulder badly then followed that up with a car accident to really knacker it and despite several operations, I could never really fish or if I did then I would need to take weapons strength analgesics for weeks afterwards…..
Two weeks ago I was trying to reach something in the bottom of a wheelie bin that was just out of reach and stretched for it and POP! Agony and unable to move my arm THEN realise that my shoulder was realigned! I wouldn’t say it was as good as new but I’m raring to go although I don’t relish getting a foddering every week!
Funny how things happen isn’t it?

TF_JohnHMark, good news!! I just wonder why the medics could not sort this out sooner??
I have a work mate who almost finished in a wheel chair as he could not walk. He was seen by every specialist in the country until one realised he needed new hips. Within 3 months of the op he could almost have run a marathon. -

TF_One Out of the FrameThe dreaded mice have somewhat curtailed the return and ravaged some nets but tbf I’m still a bit taken aback and a little worried that, “Easy come, easy go,” and that I could quite easily go back to where I was.
John: With regard to medical help and getting sorted, I used to be a nurse (for over twenty years!) and had quite a substantial role in Rehabilitation so I certainly pushed to get where I was BEFORE fluking what would appear to me to be a rare lucky break!
It has also put me in a bit of a quandary about whether I could be fit enough to return to nursing (which I loved) although I have at least a years worth of work overseeing some massive projects for the car leasing company I work for and, even though the owner has said that he would support whatever I do, I NEED to sort that out before I do anything…
Right then: I’ll need some nets and more importantly an additional 100,000 visitors to the leasing website (site is being revamped: although the offers are still superb DO NOT visit until the new site is operational! lol).
First visit back on the bank is probably on the upper Avon this weekend. Beautiful venue. Every peg different and the big bonus is that I have NEVER blanked in over 30 years at the place even fishing with 6ft of floodwater or minus loads C! That should scupper it?
Thanks for the kind comments….. Hopefully back for an Intersite if everything goes well!

However there will be a new domain in the very near future that is more geared up for vans and other light commercial vehicles as well as the revamp of the above sight.
Thanks again!

TF_CutnutIntersites? What are they? A chance to meet up and put names to faces with a light hearted banter and a possibility of fishing too……no longer exists as you recall it Mark! 🙁

TF_JohnHMark, whilst I understand your desire to get onto the rivers, if you are anything like me your biggest risk of injury will be getting your gear to your peg. Especially towing a trolley full of everything over rough slippy paths.
I know sometimes commercials can be tedious but they are great for access. -
