Is there a place for these longer rods on commercials like Whiteacres anymore?
I have a pair of Tournament 13 footers and a 14 foot Shimano Ultegra but rarely do they see the light of day. Even my 12 foot feeder rods only get used occasionally as its 10 or 11 foot now for just about everywhere I go. Most venues I go to are not unlike W/A.
I do have a sneaking feeling that the pellet wag is changing to fine lines and more conventional floats so maybe 13 footers will come back into play more.
        Whats your views on it?

I use 13ft rods all winter where I fish but they are normally deeper or require a longer chuck than White Acres. On Pollawyn, a longer rod might be useful for winter fishing on the deck in the wider pegs but most pegs have trees in the way for casting and I guess you don’t go there in winter anyway!? Be good on Porth though for waggler and slider days! Get to Hayfield, October to December is the best time for waggler fishing, 5 to 10ft deep! 😀

Have joined Mallory Nathan otherwise I would go to Hayfield. Just spent too many winterdays on crap pegs so I try to fish where I know there is a chance of a wrap around.

I fish the waggler in the matches through the winter months at Mallory with some success, always use my 13 footer for 2 reasons, the main one is you have to strike at the bites and the extra length helps with picking up the line when striking, also you can catch a couple of feet deep but sometimes you have to fish full depth and drag the bait, casting out with a waggler set at 6 foot plus is a bit of a game with an 11foot rod especially with some of the pegs being cut into the bank.

I would never sell them, just trying to justify holdall space.
