KDAA match on Saturday on the River Severn

The River Severn was carrying around 10 inches of extra colour with a tinge of colour for the KDAA match on Saturday – perfect river fishing conditions. Regular Jason Ford drew peg 77 where he fished the pellet feeder for 35-6-0 of barbel and chub. The same tactic was used by Dave Beecroft on peg 72 for his second placed 26-8-0. Matt Hamilton opted for a caster and hemp feeder approach on peg 32 and his 17-8-0 net was good enough for third.

You sure? I fished the Severn on Saturday and it is normal level, certainly not 10 inches on with colour – if anything, there was lack of colour, running clear more akin to summer conditions. It did fish well though!

Poppa – In front of the Angel Pub, Stourport – It fished it’s nuts off!
I have known RiverCall reporting up to a meter on at Shrewsbury, whilst by the time it’s at Stourport there’s little or no change at all.
