        I was thinking of buying an electric hook tyer but would like to know if they are any good tying small hooks E.G 1size 8 or 16. I have seen one being used on You tube but this showed fairly large hooks being tyed. I use a matchman tyer at present but maybe one of these could be a time saver.

          OMG, it only takes 10 seconds to do a hook by hand. How much time do you need to save?

            I use one off e bay, about £6, bought it for fun but now use it for all hooks to about a size 20. Excellent knots, using it for over a year.

              its is not only about time. I want all my hook legnths to be perfectly tyed and as reliable as possible.
