“I’ve been running these for several years now and they offer fantastic value for money,” says Bob. “Some of my regulars have been coming for 5 years and all bar two of last years’ guests have already rebooked.

“Progress on the next series of DVDs is progressing very nicely as we target a whole range of species rather than just barbel this time.

“It’s a mammoth task but we hope to complete it in the next year. Already have some amazing stuff on film including the capture of a 4lb 5oz perch that is actually filmed underwater eating lobworms.

“We’ve already got big barbel, bream, zander, pike, chub and tench in the can but we have to wait for the year to run its course so we can capture the seasonal scenics. Big task but I’m sure it will be worth it in the end.”
