DAIWA CALDIA 3000

  I am thinking of changing my trusty Shaky Mach 3`s to somethig with more power. I am currently using these for pellet waggler and method work.
  
  I have been told to have a look at the Daiwa Caldia 3000
  
  Anybody know owt about them ? ( good or bad ! )

  The Caldia X are very good reels, loads of winding power, good clutch, good line lay and not bad on price. I have a couple of 4000’s and the only thing I don’t like on the Caldia’s is the way the handle folds.

  I have two of the 3000 x model, very nice reel and you can pick them up from around £110 off Ebay.

  better than the TDR in my opinion. I have 2 caldia X 3500’s with 5 spools between them. Any offers? 🙂

  Superb reels, i have a couple of 3000 s and have 3 4000 s which i use for long chucks, ive had the 4000 s for 3 years with no problems at all. Line lay is good,clutch is superb as is the winding power. I am gradually replacing my CU3003 s with caldia s as you can pick them up for a decent price if you look around.
