        Hi,
I am facing acuracy problem when feeding squats via catapult. In my opinion they spread to wide when fishing lenghts up to 10meters.
I am using drennan catapults (red and blue elastics bigger mesh type pouch), when tried smaller pouch lighter drennan elastics caty it gets only worse.
I know practise makes perfect, however I have spent few years trying to prefect it and still not happy with the way may feed lands all over the place but not near my float.

I know for some of you it is a second nature, but I would appretiate sound advice or any tips from top match man to solve my problem. In particular:
        Feeding technique?
        Caty choice?
Useful links to articles and videos to combat this problem?
How you synchronise fall of your hook bait with loose feed?
        Anything useful.
I mostly fish on cananals. Many thanks for any response in advance!

If you are concerned about accuracy? A sprinkle pot?

          TF_D.W.

Use a lobbing action on the catapult rather than simply pulling back and letting go. A softer elastic and wider frame will help keep the grouping tight at those distances as long as the wind is not too strong.

you could also try shortening the length of the elastic on your catty.it’s worked for me before especially when the elastic is ready for changing.

I wouldn’t worry too much specially in clear water its better to spread a few even at this time of year 😉

Try to get squatt that are all the same size and bigger ones are more accurate.

Feed the Squatt with a bit of damp Leam or if their in sand dampen that. 😉

Thanks for great responses! I will try all the tips you recomended. If anyone have anything else to add I would appreciate this. I am looking to combine own style of loose feeding that suits me, at which I could achieve best results. Everything you advise will be taken into consideration.
                      thanks again

try and get hold of some black hydro or preston 15h off cuts of elastic and use this in the drennan catty by taking the old drennan elastic pins out. the hydro is softer but still had enough power to flick sqatts up to 13mtrs, worked for me for the last few years

Make sure your squatts are fresh and feed them up with a slice of milk soaked bread.
