which dacron connectors

  ive been having a few misshaps with my dacron connectors splitting, ive made my own up with korda helicopter beads and i use the preston hollow elastics. can you tell me which dacron connectors to go for please.

  the preston ones look ok
  but i make my own, dont use the helicoper beads, just pull over an inch long length of red hydro over the knot

  The Preston ones do me! The standard orange large size are perfect for lakkys from 11h-15h, but you’ll want a bigger size on 17h (if you go that high) where as I’d guess the smaller ones would be better balanced with 9h.
  
  Used them for over a year and never had one split so they’re worth a look at, plus I like the fact that they sit nice and neat against the PTFE bush.

  Are the preston ones for the orginal slip elastic, i use the green,red and yellow preston hollow.

  i use the preston 1s and there ok , i have black hydro in and i dare say theres space for another grade

  Paul, for the green and red (13h and 11h) the large orange size will be fine, they are what I use!
  
  On the yellow 17h you may need the slightly bigger size. I use them with purple Hydro and it is the limit that they’ll go on and the Preston hollo’s are slightly thicker for the equivalent rating. The next size up is the blue ones which should be perfect.
